HEALTHY AND EQUITABLE
WE STRIVE TO FOSTER HEALTHY
AND EQUITABLE CITIES
We have a multifaceted approach to supporting the growth of vibrant and resilient communities and cities. It starts with the properties we build and operate and transcends the benefits and programs we provide our employees, as well as the philanthropic initiatives we undertake.
HEALTHY BUILDINGS, HEALTHY LIVES
We set our properties apart by providing environments that promote wellness and resiliency for our employees, tenants and neighbors. Our tenant engagement platform drives healthy behaviors across our portfolio through both in-person and virtual engagement enabled by our mobile app. We are a member of the Fitwel Champions Program, and as of the end of 2020, 23% of our in-service office portfolio was Fitwel-certified. We also achieved Fitwel Viral Response Certification for our response to COVID-19, an independent and science-based certification framework that sets the gold standard for mitigating contagious respiratory diseases in buildings.
FIFTH WALL
Our partnership with Fifth Wall, a venture capital firm investing in technology solutions for the built world, provides us with unparalleled access to the entrepreneurs and innovators redefining how people interact with their physical environment. We??re at the forefront of technologies that will allow us to reimagine physical workspaces, making them more accessible, affordable, healthier, efficient, dynamic, personalized, connected and intimate.

VIBRANT, THRIVING CITIES FOR ALL
We seek to create and cultivate communities that champion diversity and inclusivity and afford ample opportunity for everyone to succeed. This commitment begins with our own employees—we seek to create safe and inspiring workplaces where people feel valued. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, have generous policies to encourage work-life balance, provide on-site meals and amenities, and create fun work environments that celebrate diverse mindsets and reward collaboration at all levels.

Philanthropy &
Volunteerism
We have a long history of giving back to our communities and are committed to ensuring our annual charitable donations meet or exceed 1% of net earnings (adjusted for gains and impairment losses). One of the top priorities of our charitable giving strategy is supporting homeless services organizations in our core markets. We recently announced a $20 million commitment to address homelessness in our core markets through a comprehensive program that will include both impact investments and philanthropic donations. Our volunteerism program, Hudson Helps, provides every employee with 32 hours of paid volunteer time-off annually, matches employees’ charitable contributions, and organizes regular employee volunteering events across our portfolio.
